“No. I can survive well enough on my own — if given the proper reading material.”

— Sarah J. Maas

June has been the toughest month for me so far. From running to and fro from home to the hospital for my dad’s health to repair work at home, this month for me has been excruciating.

But isn’t life that way sometimes? It feels like its breaking every bone in your body and yet you manage to survive because you have something to look forward to.

For me, it is reading. An escape that is so worth it. Reading is my time out from all the gut-wrenching situations served on my plate. It gives me an entry point to someone else’s world that gives me the courage to deal with my troubles.

Thus, despite the lack of time and constant running around, here is a short but powerful list of reads that inspired me this month. Hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did.

Should all voices be heard? Find out in this fantastic fictional story by Amanda Gravely.

Some stories move you mentally, emotionally and physically. Thank you Willow Lovelight for being my inspiration and helping me see the light in the darkest of times. You are amazing!

I love quirky quotes and when it comes to making people smile, no one does it better than Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles. Love you V and thank you for sharing this list of amazingly witty quotes.

I agree, pockett dessert, soul mates do find each other but the journey before they do can be so inspiring and heart touching. I loved this beautiful write up and I am sure you guys will too.

We all have reasons to behave the way we do. But what is more important is so be patient enough to wait for the reason why others behaved with us the way they did. Thank you for this eye-opening write up Julia Winsa.

Thank you, Lisu Mei for so beautifully describing ‘what poets are made of’. This was so beautiful and heart touching. Loved it!

So often we let friendships overrule the way we must be treated. In this eye-opening piece by Ali Hall, lets reflect on the kind of friendship that we keep and are they truly worth it if it damages you from within?

That’s all folks. Hope we have an amazing July to look forward to. If you wish to catch up on my previous editions of ‘Reads That Touched Me’, below is the link to the same.
